Qatar Today Restaurant Awards

More that 300 nominated restaurants out of 12 selected categories and cuisines participated in the Competition. The general public was invited to vote for their personal favourite restaurant during the course of the last year, and finally the winners of the respective categories were announced at the prestigious Qatar Today Restaurant Award Ceremony, early in October.

 
  FIVE STAR CERTIFICATION July 2007
  An Official Hotel certification system has been implemented in Qatar. This hotel rating system defines the standard of the establishment based on specific factors such as room size quality of furniture, fittings and equipment, hygiene and overall maintenance, as well as service & guest care. GRH certification was awarded in July.
 
  HACCP CERTIFICATION July 2007
  After an extensive auditing process by the International Governing Body – TUV - Grand Regency Hotel was the first in Qatar to receive the official HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) certification. Food hygiene & safety is considered a matter of vital importance and HACCP is an essential tool to prevent food safety hazards.
